Sworn vs. Notarized Translation in Turkey
A sworn translation is made and stamped by a translator who has taken an oath before a Turkish notary. It is enough for most universities and private institutions.
A notarized translation adds the notary’s certification of the sworn translator’s signature. Consulates, courts, civil registry offices and land registry offices usually require it.
Which one do I need?
The receiving institution decides. If unsure, ask them or send your document to us on WhatsApp and we will advise you.
For use abroad: Apostille
Documents used abroad often also need an apostille. We handle the apostille and the translation together.
